I decided to change the format of the covers, I can’t stand the way the other ones look. Also, in Chapter 3 I am going to start using a different (and better, in my opinion) font for the dialogue.
Man, I really need to start maintaining a standard, lol.
holly, this cover is not just an improvement, it’s really good. don’t maintain standards if it means holding back on getting better. btw, story-wise, i LOVE that the witless attackers are raining down in parachutes. can’t wait to see what happens with them and if they join the resistance!
Thanks, everyone! I’m glad you like it, and I agree progression is definitely a good thing, I’ve been changing things pretty consistently over the last year.
Also, I’m totally choked about this cover now because I saved over the original PSD with the sized down version. ARGH! 7 hours gone…
I’m loving the fire effects on this page!
Thanks

Shiny… Not sure what the other covers looked like but this one is flawless.
Besides maintaining standards is boring. Webcomics typically evolve over time.

I like the way his head rises over the frame and into the title bar. He is too much badass for one regular screen shot to contain!
As a (text) author myself, Holly, my advice is not to stress too much about consistency until it’s time to clean everything up for print publication.
